Elder Easton Schofield-Paraguay Asuncion Mission

This week was a solid one. We had transfers and I'm with Elder Elggren an elder who was also in my MTC district. Super cool. It's pretty sweet to see the progress we have made since the MTC, we've come a looooong way haha.  But we started off this week with Elder Dutson saying goodbye to some friends here. It was a good time but saying bye is always tough, good thing I'm staying here for a little bit longer. After that we got hooked up with Elggren and hit the ground running. Finding a bunch of people and doing our best to find the ones that want to progress towards baptism.  I have no idea why but we are in the middle of winter down here and it's super hot like in the 90s so I'm pumped for summer to come haha. But it's good when it's hot like this more people are out and about so it gives us more opportunity to talk to more people. We talked to a lot of people this week and heard a lot of excuses. This week started off really good it's the last week of the transfer but we get transfer news tonight so next week I'll let you all know. But we got on the grind again this week and it was sweet. Found a whole bunch of new people to teach and got rejected probably three times as much but it's all good because the majority of the time when people reject us they do it in the most awkward and ridiculous way that it just makes us laugh.  Our shower has been acting weird lately but after we looked at it we realized we just needed a new part and we would be good to go. It was a simple fix but we while we were walking around we asked the places that sell the shower heads and they wouldn't sell us just the new part we needed they wanted to sell us an entire new shower head. They didn't have individual parts. So after talking to like 4 different places we found our guy. I explained to him what we needed and he goes "give me 3 minutes" hopes on his motorcycle and 3 ...

How's it going?? This week was pretty good, normal stuff.    It started off great, I was a little sick and I needed some medicine so we went to the pharmacy that's right below where we live and asked them for the medicine that I needed. And they told me that I could only get that with a prescription from a doctor. So I asked them if there was any other way to get it because I don't have time to go to a doctor. They said sadly no so I walked away. And started talking to my comp and as we were walking out the door, they called me back and said "oh, you're with him?" I told them yeah and they said "oh well he's a loyal customer here and because of that we'll let you take the medicine." So if you want to get prescriptions drugs in Paraguay, just be a loyal customer.  This week we also had a conference which was really cool. But before that we had a crazy day. Happy 4th of July. Because it's the 4th we decided to celebrate American style, so we're going to get together as a Zone and have an eating competition. We found a place that sells empanadas for super cheep and we bought around 300 empanadas. We're gonna go to a park and see who can eat the most. Meanwhile playing football and frisbee. It was the most American thing we could think of and I'm super excited. This week few by just like the last one but it was slightly more interesting haha.  It started off on Tuesday I went down to another city to do divisions with an Elder named Elder Vorwaller super cool dude from Tooele. We taught some super cool people one of which is a lady that got baptized about a year ago by one of my old companions who now wants her daughter to get baptized. It's pretty amazing to see how the gospel changes the lives of the people it touches and the impact that this change has on the family as well. That night we had to go to a baptismal inter...
