Argentina and Puerto Rico...

How's it going?  This week absolutely flew by. I can't believe that I'm already writing an email again. I never believed anyone when they said that the second half of the mission flies by because I thought the first half went by really quickly. But it's true. I don't know how to explain it but the weeks feel like hours. I think it has to come with understanding how to be a missionary and really coming to love the work that we're doing. I've never been more excited to go out and teach, to contact people, to talk to absolutely everyone we can find. I come home everyday just waiting and wanting to wake up the next morning and go do it again. This week I went on divisions two times. The first time I was with a missionary named Elder Farley, his name is Bryce Farley but he's 100% Argentinian. So don't ask me where the name Bryce comes from haha. But we had a good time he's relatively new in the mission and was able to leave his area for divisions for ...

Tendons and Hooves...

This week has been great we did a lot of cool things and a lot of our friends are progressing really quickly. To start out the week we had to go get our toes looked at, my comp had an ingrown toe that some lady took out and he had to go back for pt.2 and while we were there I asked her to look at my toe because it was kinda discolored on the toe nail. Turns out I got something going there but this lady hooked me up free of charge. The funny thing is, is where this place is at. The outside looks like any normal clothing store but you walk in and they're selling clothes as well as cutting people's hair like a salon and as well using a Dremel to take out whatever was in my toe. So I had this lady manhandling my foot while people were walking around buying clothes or getting their haircut. But to be honest this lady does good work and now my toe is all good to go. After that we had divisiones this week and I went with Elder Vazquez one of my old comps so that was super c...

Las Lomitas...

This week has been one of the fastest weeks of my mission but that's probably because of all the things that we did. On Tuesday I had to go up to the office for transfers, I got transferred to a place called Las Lomitas that is near a city called Ñemby. This is a suburb of Asunción so I guess I finally had to get an area semi close to Asunción and here we are. But I'm loving it to be honest. It's a place that's a pretty big city. There's a bunch of cars and busses and stuff like that but once you get a little off of the main roads you really don't notice it.  But this place is super cool all of the members are down to help, down to go out and visit the people with us. We had a member with us just about every day, visiting the people that we're teaching and it's low key the best thing. Our amigos feel more comfortable and open up more when there's someone from their own country there helping them. We went around finding a whole bunch of new people to ...

Haso Being Sick...

Image
So this week kinda got wrecked but it's all good, I got really sick last Monday and it just carried on through the week. Still have a slight head cold but we're doing good. Also a little translation from the title Haso is a Guarani word that literally translate to "full of worms." It's probably my favorite guarani word. People use it all the time to mean that something sucks. So being sick sucks. But still had some great times like always in the mish. We went up to Asuncion twice this week because we had a conference up there one day which was super sweet as always to hear from President. Definitely very excited to get to work this month and see the miracles that the Lord is going to work through us. So then we came home and after that we had to go back to Asuncion a day later in order for my comp to go get an MRI because his knee has been bothering him for a while. And the doc thinks it's his meniscus so to be sure the MRI is necessary. My comp was bummed out...
