Training...

Hello everyone, this week was pretty sweet that's for sure. I started out in Pilar saying goodbye to the Elders out there and we all headed back to San Ignacio. In San Ignacio we had some fun playing some games and eating some decent food. After that though I got on my bus to head up to Asuncion. I was all alone in this bus for 4 hours so that was really interesting. Not having a comp and all of the Paraguayans near me we're passed out asleep so for 4 hours I was stuck in my own head. It was honestly kinda nice I listened to some music and just relaxed all the way up there. On the way there I was texting the elders in the office who were going to pick me up from the bus station. But I knew that I was getting in kind of late so I offered to just take a taxi to the office because that way I wouldn't have to make them drive down to the station to get me. So I hopped off the bus and into a cab and directed him to the mission office. On the way we passed by Burger King and McDon...

This week was pretty interesting that's for sure.  Starting off I spent the week in Pilar with Elder Pavon and Elder Amarilla. I'm here in Pilar in a trio because the Americans always come in a week late into the transfer. So I'm here in Pilar waiting for my new comp to get here. I'm actually gonna head up to Asuncion tomorrow in order to meet my comp and travel with him down to San Ignacio. My Spanish is far from perfect but I think we'll be able to scrape on by. Especially with the help of the Lord on my side I'll be good to go, no problem. The Spanish definitely had to come in hard this week while living with two Paraguayans. It was super fun being with them and working in a trio. The only thing that's not so cool is when they speak guarani together. Because then I really have no clue what they...

Baptisms and Transfers...

How's it going everyone? This week was pretty neat. First and foremost we had a baptism this week, well actually three. Two of them are sisters and are daughters of a member. They are 10 and 8 years old. They are super sweet girls and were extremely excited to get baptized. Basically jumping out of their seats in order to be baptized. I baptized the younger one named Joanna and Elder Stillwell baptized the older one named Mariella. It was a really sweet to watch how happy they were. Mariella was really worried to get baptized because she's afraid of the water. I guess a lot of kids here are afraid of the water because really they don't go into water like at all. They don't go swimming and they never go in the rivers. But before the baptism we asked her how she felt with the water and she said she's not afraid anymore because she knows that God is on her side. So that was really awesome to hear.  Maria Gomez also got baptized. She is part of the family Martinez, and ...
