Field Trip + Baptism...

How we doing? This week was a good one no doubt.  At the start of the week I went on divisiones in a place called Acahay. Super tiny town that isn't even a branch. It's a group of like 8 people that come to church on a good Sunday. But it's all good. It's a super cool place and there is still some work to do there. We had a good time talking to more cows than people, but also had a lot of success finding people that wanted to listen. And the whole day ended with some really good hamburgers that were almost like hamburgers at home.  After that we came on home and I finally was able to meet the people who were being baptized on Saturday. Named Librada and Cristhian, some of the most ready people to get baptized that I have ever met. Other Elders were teaching them and they went to church with them as well and because of that I didn't get to know them until now. But I'm glad I did because they really are two of the purest and best people on this planet. But we had ...

I Hate Soccer....

How's it going everyone this week was really sweet. Just to start off, I don't really hate soccer, but this week we found a bunch of new people who all wanted to go to church but couldn't because they all had soccer games on Sunday. So none of them could come. One of these people we found is named Tiago. He's a 9 year old kid but one of the coolest. His older sister is already a member so we went to teach Tiago and when we showed up he already had the chairs set up for us and was sitting there reading his Book of Mormón. Which is insane because nobody actually reads the Book of Mormón no matter how many times we invite them haha. But this kid is a goat. He already loves the Book of Mormón and when I asked him what he likes to do he said, play soccer and follow God. So we invited him to church on Sunday and he said that he couldn't go because he has to play soccer. We asked if he would rather go to church or play and he said church but that his mom won't let him ...

Hey everyone. How's it going? This week was pretty sweet, a lot of stuff happened. I hope everyone is doing well!!  This week started off with a baptism, there's a city in our zone called Paraguarí and they had a baptism there. So we traveled down to help celebrate and help this little kid feel great for being baptized. His name is Clever and the dude is hilarious. We became best friends from the second that we met. He's a 9 year old kid but one of the funniest little dudes out there. We started hanging out and making sure that everything was ready for the baptism. Some hermanas made brownies other elders made some cake. It was a super fun time and even better because we got to celebrate his baptism together. Also, while there the hermanas from the Paraguarí branch asked us for a favor. They asked my comp and I if we could give a blessing to one of the members, his wife has cancer, and is in the hospital and this guy is just down, doesn't know where to go or where to tu...

So this week was sweet. I'll jump right into it. I went up to the office in Asuncion on Monday and hung out there for the night before I went to my new city. I saw some of my buddies that I haven't seen in a really long time. It was sweet to catch up with a bunch of them and see how they're doing. But then on Tuesday I headed to the bus station to get to my new area. But lemme tell ya absolutely nobody on planet Earth understands Paraguayan bus stations especially the people that work there. We asked everyone where we had to go to get on this bus and nobody knew. They all told us contradicting things that made absolutely no sense, but after almost missing our bus we found it and we were on our way to Itá.  Itá is sweet. It's like an hour south of Asunción but is kinda secluded. It's a decent sized city but also has a whole bunch of fields and country side. Which is awesome because it's been a minute since I've been outside of the city.  My companion is from ...
