Elder Easton Schofield-Paraguay Asuncion Mission

This week was one of my favorites without a doubt.  To start off we had cambios(transfers) and super sad, but I have to leave Las Lomitas, I'm going to a ward in Asunción called Herrera, where I will be the new Secretary in the office. I honestly have no idea what that means. I don't really know what I'll be doing but I'll be  sure to keep yall posted. But now onto the important stuff. This week we found a whole bunch of new people to teach!! We found the Torres' a family where the mom is an inactive member who hasn't been to church in over 20 years and all of her 5 kids have no idea about anything gospel related. We asked them who Jesus was and they didn't know. So it was super interesting teaching people that honestly have never heard about these things before. So we taught a little lesson but more importantly we taught them to pray and then we invited them to pray every day and that we would come back in 3 days to teach them again. This week was great, super interesting not gonna lie.  My comp was kinda sick for most of the week. He lost his voice but for most of the days he felt good enough to go out and work he could just barely talk though. So he asked me to tell people that he just didn't speak Spanish and that way it's way easier to explain instead of explaining that he's not feeling good and having every paraguayan and their dog trying to give him some different grass or plant in order for him to drink in a tea.  One day we were contacting and we contacted these two girls and they were like super cold, didn't want to talk to us for anything. But one of them asked me comp "quieres agua por tu botalla" he acted like he didn't understand because he straight up couldn't respond so he looked at me all confused and I told the girl that he doesn't speak Spanish. So she responds in perfect English "do you want water for your bottle" and we lost our minds but after fig...

So this week was pretty sweet, lots of miracles likes always.  Started off I went down to a city called Ytororó to do divisions with Elder Araya, an Elder from Chile. Super cool dude and super funny as well. As always we were on the grind looking for Mia posters and contacting everyone we could see. We were walking and found this one guy and started talking to him. Seemed like a pretty normal guy and as we continued talking I pulled out a pamphlet in order to show some pictures and stuff. And before I say anything I just barely pulled it out of my bag he points at the pamphlet, screams "idolatry" runs into his house (like sprinting) comes back with his Bible and reads like 6 different verses about why worshiping images is bad. After trying to explain that we don't worship the pamphlet he cooled down. But I honestly still don't know if he understood haha.  Wednesday was a great day, we ended divisions, and hit the grind.
