Elder Easton Schofield-Paraguay Asuncion Mission

This week was pretty sweet, filled with lots of cool stuff.  On Tuesday I had the coolest service project I've had my whole mission. We heard from the Elders in Rama 2 (another branch in our zone) that they have a part member family who needs some help. And that's really all they told us. I knew this family because one time on divisions I went and talked with them. They are some of the most humble people I know. A family of 4 living in a 4 by 6 foot house, and I'm not kidding. So the Elders Quorum of Rama 2 got together and decided they were gonna build them a house. So we got invited, it was one of the coolest things and low key one of the sketchyest because the method of building down here is nowhere near safe. I feel like one really strong windy day and chou to the house. But we listened to the way they wanted it done and did it. After a whole bunch of hammers and nails we got all the walls put on and the roof ready for the tin that's gonna go on top. It was so sweet...

What's up everyone? This week kinda just flew on by.  Last Monday we went up to Asunción for a conference and it was pretty sweet. I definitely learned a lot and there's a lot of stuff I'm going to apply to my missionary work back in my area. I'll give you a quick update on the Niko challenge for those who are curious. I drank 18 liters, I was going to do 20 but I forgot my last 2 liters in the fridge and had to hop on the bus. But I can confidently say that I'm not going to drink Niko ever again. I actually swore off soda right after I finished but it's really hard because just about every member meal we have they always have soda, so I swore off soda unless we're at a members house haha.  Up in Asunción I went to McDonald's always a great time, and I found a Masonic lodge. Well this week has been one for the books without a doubt.  First and foremost it all started with me teaching some lessons in English. We went to lunch as a district and sitting outside after we paid, there were these German looking people. So naturally we said hi and then my comp tried talking to them but they just looked very confused. And then I tried talking to them in English and they knew English so we started up a conversation. I found out that 2 of them were German and the third one was from Poland. They were very interested in what we were doing here In Paraguay and equally we were also interested. They had very hippie vibes if you want to say that, they had full dreads, tank tops, shoeless, people. I'm not being judgemental just trying to give you a picture. But I talked to the polish guy the most because his English was by far the best. I asked what he was doing in Paraguay. He told me that he was searching for God so I was like, "hey that's kinda what we do....
