Elder Easton Schofield-Paraguay Asuncion Mission

How's it going everyone hope it's all great. This week was fun and interesting to say the least.  We started off this week by absolutely grinding out our entire member list and putting 30+ points on the map where these members could be. Because addresses down here are very incorrect it's super difficult to find people based off of their address but it gives us a general area where we go and then ask everyone in the surrounding area if they know this person. So we've been doing a lot of that this week.  And one day was very cool. We had this address that just said that it was somewhere on this certain street, so we contacted a large section of this street searching for this member who at the end of 3 hours we found out she had moved to a different area in the city haha. But those 3 hours was definitely not wasted because we talked to many many people and at least 10 of them were very interested in us coming back and sharing with them a little bit more about why we are he...

How's it going, this was pretty amazing full of spiritual highlights.  To start off on the non spiritual side, we fixed our hot water. Turns out it was the switch in the wall that was broken and all we needed to do was buy a 50 cent switch and replace it. The other switch was literally melted on the inside plastic and all. So no wonder it wasn't working. It's nice to have hot water back but now that it's no longer freezing cold. I've actually come to like the cold showers even over a hot one.  I swear winter came and went already. There was one week where it was really cold and we were bundled up in our jackets and everything but this week it hit 85 again so I'm pretty sure winter only lasts for a week down here. Not super upset about it but I don't know if I'm ready for the heat I guess its pretty killer haha. Hola todos, que tal? This past week was super fun, we were in a trio with Elder Johnson because he is waiting for his new American companion to arrive. So it was a absolute blast working with him for a week. He's a super hilarious guy and also a very good missionary. He's been in Paraguay 4 months more than me and his Spanish is ridiculously good so it has definitely inspired me to continue grinding on the language study.  Last Monday was pretty interesting, after P-day ended we went out and visited a couple of people. We went to this one members house named Diego Ferloni and he proceeded to tell us his whole life story and a good chunk of it was about America. I guess he lived in the states for like 5 years. But when he first said that I was pretty sceptical because a lot of Paraguayans claim things that in reality have never happened. How's it been everyone? It's been another wild week down here in Paraguay.  Once again I'll address the title, it translates to "the fight with the shower" but it rhymes in Spanish so I had to do it. Last Monday our shower decided to no longer heat any water. Which is awesome especially considering that it's freezing outside and that was generally the way we warmed up in the morning haha. So for this week I've been heating up water in pots and combined with a really handy plastic cup I've been using that to shower in, it's been quite a blast actually couldn't complain. I have no clue what's wrong with it but were trying to get it fixed. I've taken it all apart and everything is hooked up the way it should be and I even replaced the heated element that usually goes bad but that didn't fix it either, we have someone coming to look at it though so that'll be good.  Also this week is transfers!
