Transfers...

Image
This week was super cool and super busy. We had transfers, so on Sunday we had all of the missionaries that were going home with us until Monday. We went to dinner with them and hung out. It was super cool. We always have a meeting at the mission home when when missionaries go home to talk about the mission and what we learned and stuff like that and it's all super cool. One of the coolest meetings to be part of honestly. It just makes it more real that at one point I'm going to have to end the misión and it gives me so much more energy and motivation to work hard everyday that I can.  We finished the transfers Sunday night at like 8pm and I had to plan all of the travels for missionaries that are in zones far away. Because the next day that had to be getting on their busses at noon. So I stayed up pretty late planning all of the travels and where the missionaries that weren't traveling would be staying the night. For 163 missionaries, so it took me a little bit to get it...

Normal Week...

This week was super cool, we didn't have any big things to plan or conferences or anything. Just getting things ready for transfers. But it was super cool because we could finish the little work we had here and get out and teach.  We contacted a bunch this week and met a whole bunch of new people and some really cool ones as well who want to progress. We met these two teenagers in a park and started sharing with them and ended up giving them both books of mormon. We went back the following day and they said that they read and wanted to read more! It's always great to see people who genuinely are interested in the Gospel and want to learn more. These two teenagers said that they would come to church on Sunday as well so we're praying that they can! We also had a funny experience. We were walking one day and saw this old lady sitting on her porch so we went to talk to her and she said that she only believes in the Bible and doesn't read any other books. She said that o...

Renlund y Locura...

Image
This week was unlike any other week in my mission. First and foremost we had Elder Renlund come to the mission. So we had a giant conference with the 2 missions here in Asuncion. Literally every missionary in the whole country was there.  But they probably chose the worst week to come to Paraguay haha. So we had the conference on Thursday but the day before, or Wednesday just happened to be the Census here in Paraguay. And because Paraguay likes to do it the old fashioned way, between 6am and 6pm nobody could leave their house. And people came by to count you and so on.  The bad part about this is that we have missionaries that live 7 hours away and they needed to be here for the conference with Elder Renlund on Thursday. So we waited until the census ended at 6pm,  got everyone to the bus terminal, where we had rented ginormous buses to get 68 missionaries here to Asuncion. They got here at 2am and we had to find them all somewhere...

Fastest Week Ever...

This week was absolutely insane. Most people would say that it passed in the blink of an eye but it was more like half of a blink. This week Elder Costa from the Presidency of the area came to the mission. So we had some mission wide conferences. It all started on Wednesday when we drove out to Ciudad del Este and on the way stopped at the majority of the missionary's apartments. Helping them have all the materials that they need like Books of Mormon, stoves to cook, etc. After doing that we made it to Ciudad del Este and made sure that all of the apartments were ready because we were bringing 2 other zones to Ciudad del Este to sleep the night and then wake up for the conference the next day. So we were hauling mattresses around getting ready for everything. Then the bus that we rented got here and we put up everyone that we could in the apartments and those that we couldn't. We had a hotel as well. After a late night I got up super early and headed to the...
