Field Trip + Baptism...

How we doing? This week was a good one no doubt.

At the start of the week I went on divisiones in a place called Acahay. Super tiny town that isn't even a branch. It's a group of like 8 people that come to church on a good Sunday. But it's all good. It's a super cool place and there is still some work to do there. We had a good time talking to more cows than people, but also had a lot of success finding people that wanted to listen. And the whole day ended with some really good hamburgers that were almost like hamburgers at home.

After that we came on home and I finally was able to meet the people who were being baptized on Saturday. Named Librada and Cristhian, some of the most ready people to get baptized that I have ever met. Other Elders were teaching them and they went to church with them as well and because of that I didn't get to know them until now. But I'm glad I did because they really are two of the purest and best people on this planet. But we had an branch night where everyone comes we play soccer, handball, volleyball and a whole bunch of the branch comes. So Librada and Cristhian came and we all had a great time together.

After that we had planned to divisiones again because this other Elder had to do the baptismal interview with them so he went with my comp to do that and I went with his comp for the day. But little did I know his comp has been having slight knee problems and had a doctor appointment scheduled for today in Asunción. So we went on up to Asunción for the day to go to the doctor. We got to the doctors office but it didn't open for another hour so we went on the streets to look around, we ended up finding the Brazilian embassy as well as a soccer stadium where one of the clubs here in Paraguay plays. We went back to the doctors office and talked with the secretary, only to find out that the doctor was doing surgery all today and they canceled all of his other appointments. But they didn't think about letting us know about that until we got there, and that we would have to reschedule for a different day in the following week. So at the end of the day I went on a field trip to Asunción it was super fun, had a great time, can't complain.

After that we had our baptism on Saturday. We went Saturday morning to clean and fill the font. The baptism was scheduled for the night. And we cleaned the font and were draining the dirty water when the power was cut and because of that the pump that pumps out the water didn't work, so we finished draining it by hand and started filling it up. It fills super slow so we went to go get lunch and then we were gonna come back and wait for it to fill all the way. Well when we came back the power was back on but we forgot to turn off the switch for the pump so everything that was filled just got drained out. And even better there was no more water in the tank at the church. So we borrowed a couple hoses and put them together and talked to the neighbor to see if we could snag some water from him. He didn't have a problem so we ran a hose across the road and started filling. It was going great until the pressure dropped and started filling ridiculously slow. So we went and talked to a guy that has a car wash. And asked him if we could snag his water. Also didn't have a problem. So with 5 gallon buckets that he filled up for us we filled up our font. We filled the font and Librada and Cristhian showed up and were baptized and it was super special. A baptism I'll never forget.

After that on Sunday they were confirmed and it was pretty amazing. Cristhian kept saying that he wants to be a missionary some day and he's gonna do whatever it takes to get to that point. Needless to say it was a super special week full of great things.

I love all of you and hope you're well
