Argentina and Puerto Rico...
How's it going? This week absolutely flew by. I can't believe that I'm already writing an email again. I never believed anyone when they said that the second half of the mission flies by because I thought the first half went by really quickly. But it's true. I don't know how to explain it but the weeks feel like hours. I think it has to come with understanding how to be a missionary and really coming to love the work that we're doing. I've never been more excited to go out and teach, to contact people, to talk to absolutely everyone we can find. I come home everyday just waiting and wanting to wake up the next morning and go do it again.
This week I went on divisions two times. The first time I was with a missionary named Elder Farley, his name is Bryce Farley but he's 100% Argentinian. So don't ask me where the name Bryce comes from haha. But we had a good time he's relatively new in the mission and was able to leave his area for divisions for the first time in his mission. We had a great time talked about a bunch of stuff, he's an interesting deep thinker so I definitely enjoyed his conversation.
After that I was able to go on divisions again but this time with Elder Estrada who's from Puerto Rico. Also relatively new in the mission. But we had a great time, we taught some really interesting people. One lady was yelling at us in Bible verses telling us we're wrong. Loved that lesson, she seemed so nice and accepted us in but soon enough she started going nuts. But all good memories that need to happen. We had a good time no doubt.
One day as we were teaching we got a call that President wanted to do interviews with our zone the following day. So we set up the schedule for that and then the following day President wanted us to go with him to all the interviews. It was super cool being able to spend the day with him, talk about whatever and understand a little more who this man is that's running the mission. And honestly every time I'm with him is a good time, he's funny, super fun to talk to, and definitely knows his stuff.
This week was great we've seen some real progression in a couple of the people we're teaching and have baptismal dates lined up for the next month basically. I'm so grateful that the Lord has blessed us with the opportunity to find these people and help them along their path. We contacted some people the other day and invited them to church and they actually showed up which is awesome because that normally doesn't happen. He's a 16 year old kid named Moisés and he really enjoyed the church and said he'll be back for more. We also had a couple of other friends come to church which is always great 4 of them have already been before and continue to say that they love it. But 4 of them were new people that for the first time entered into the church. And they all said they really loved it.
This week we also had the baptism of Lucas and Nilsa which was probably the highlight of the week. Baptisms are always some of the best times. We were fighting with the hot water for a while but it just wouldn't work so the water was nice and chilly. But they both said that it didn't really matter because they just wanted to get baptized so that's what they did.
All in all, I love the work, love the people, and can't wait to continue helping the people here in Las Lomitas.
Love you guys
