Christmas...

This week was super cool, Christmas day we woke up in the hospital with the Elder that broke his ankle and then we were able to get out and head over to church. After church we talked to President a lot and finalized how we were going to put together the Christmas Activity. 

Then on Monday we headed over to Ciudad del Este. After getting through the cow traffic jam on the freeway we finally got there and went to this waterfall place called Saltos Monday which was super cool. It's the closest we can get to Iguazu falls. After that we went to the church and set up all the stuff for the activity. Then went to the hotel to help all the missionaries get checked in and everything. Went to bed and then Tuesday we had the Christmas party which was a lot of fun actually. Seeing a lot of the homies again and hanging out. After it ended we drove back to Asuncion and got home kinda late.

Woke up Wednesday and I started getting everything ready for the missionaries that are ending their mission. As well as setting up for the Christmas party here in Asunción. On Thursday we had that party with like 110 of us. It's always super cool to have a big group of missionaries together. It was a really fun time and right after it ended everyone generally stayed around just to hangout and talk for a while but an elder was super sick so we had to take him to the emergency room. So we helped him put and dropped him back off at his apartment. 

Then Friday came around and I finished the stuff for those going home and all of them started coming to the office around noon because later that evening we they had a temple trip. We dropped them off there, came back to the area for a bit and taught one of our friends and then went to pick them back up and eat some dinner. 

It's pretty weird, generally when I send a group home it's like "yeah whatever there are still a bunch of groups going home" but this time it's kind of setting in how real it is. And the fact that the next group going home is my group. It finally feels kind of real and idk if I like it or not. But we spent all of pday together playing a bunch of sports until a sister and her comp called me and we had to take them to the hospital as well because they were super sick. Helped them out there get everything that they needed. And then came back to more sports. A lot of hospital trips this week.

What’s up!! This week was amazing, we were able to get some real work done. We had a couple of lessons where we could bring some members along. We found some other inactive members who we are helping come back to church and along with that baptize their kids. I’m super thankful for the members here in the ward, they are awesome and always able to help us when we need it.     One day we met a lady and invited her to church, but she told us she didn't want to go because she didn’t have any friends in the church. So we told her that before Sunday came we would stop by her house with a member so that she could get to know her and then have a friend in church. And we knew just the lady to call … Rosa. Temple...

How's it going everyone?? This week went by ridiculously fast so here's some stuff that happened. On Monday we were able to change our P-day to Monday because we had divisions with other elders on Saturday. But it was super fun we had P-day with the whole zone. We played Paddle for like 3 hours, went to eat lunch all together in a mall and then came back to the church were we played chair soccer for another 3 hours. It was sweet to be have P-day all together and hangout with a bunch of missionaries.  On Tuesday we went out and worked and found some cool people that said that they really wanted to go to church with us. So we sat down and taught some good lessons. We taught the restoration and why it's so important. I honestly really love teaching especially when the people are interested. Snakes, Dogs, and Red Dirt

How's it going everyone. Day one I was warned about the snakes, these snakes are much more dangerous than the snakes you are thinking about right now. These snakes are teenage girls that give you the "look" everywhere you go. It's super funny we will be walking on the street and all of the sudden three girls will run up and talk with us as we walk for miles. It's hilarious, I love it.  A couple weird things that happened this week: a couple of drunk people interrupted our lessons which is sweet. I tried deep fried cow stomach, which honestly tasted and felt like a deep fried booger (sorry that's the only way I know how to describe it). Women breastfeed in the middle of lessons so that's something. I waited for a bus for 3.5 hours because the bus system here is wack. I ate like a pumpkin porridge thing which was pretty good.
