Rosa...

How's it going?? This week was pretty sweet not gonna lie. We have been getting everything prepped for transfers on Tuesday and helping out the missionaries that are ending the mission on Monday get all of their stuff ready. Right now all of them are in the office with us and its really weird to see some of my best friends go home. And know that I won't see them for a long time. Especially the latinos that are going home, I really hope to one day come back here and hangout with them again. 

We are getting ready to receive 15 new missionaries as well, so it's been pretty cool getting everything worked out the way that we need to. This week we also had a mission council here in Asunción with like 40 missionaries. It's always a good time to see all the homies from around the mission as well as learn from President and Hermana Faundez. 

But the most important thing that happened this week has to do with our friend Rosa. She´s this 70 year old grandma that we found and has been coming to church for like a month now but when we talked about baptism with her she always said that she was afraid and wanted to do it but the fear was too much. So we kept passing by and brought members to every lesson that we had. The members are super cool and they invited her to a ward activity that was like 2 hours away in some church encampment. She went and loved it and the members are basically becoming her family. Because of the relationship that she has developed with all of them she trusts them to baptize her and next Saturday Rosa is going to get baptized which is absolutely incredible. 

Also our friend Agustín said that he is super excited to go to church this week and get confirmed in sacrament meeting. We´re super happy with all the work that's happening in our area and the people that we are able to teach. We also met this friend of a recent convert who came to church once and we finally were able to have a lesson with her this week. It was super cool she loved it and said that she is 100% going to come to church tomorrow. 

I'm super stoked for all that's going on here, love you guys!

What’s up!! This week was amazing, we were able to get some real work done. We had a couple of lessons where we could bring some members along. We found some other inactive members who we are helping come back to church and along with that baptize their kids. I’m super thankful for the members here in the ward, they are awesome and always able to help us when we need it.     One day we met a lady and invited her to church, but she told us she didn't want to go because she didn’t have any friends in the church. So we told her that before Sunday came we would stop by her house with a member so that she could get to know her and then have a friend in church. And we knew just the lady to call … Rosa. A recent convert that I had such the blessing to be apart of her conversion process. So we went to Rosa’s house and told her that we had a friend that she needed to meet. How's it going everyone?? This week went by ridiculously fast so here's some stuff that happened. On Monday we were able to change our P-day to Monday because we had divisions with other elders on Saturday. But it was super fun we had P-day with the whole zone. We played Paddle for like 3 hours, went to eat lunch all together in a mall and then came back to the church were we played chair soccer for another 3 hours. It was sweet to be have P-day all together and hangout with a bunch of missionaries.  On Tuesday we went out and worked and found some cool people that said that they really wanted to go to church with us. So we sat down and taught some good lessons. We taught the restoration and why it's so important. I honestly really love teaching especially when the people are interested. Snakes, Dogs, and Red Dirt

How's it going everyone. Day one I was warned about the snakes, these snakes are much more dangerous than the snakes you are thinking about right now. These snakes are teenage girls that give you the "look" everywhere you go. It's super funny we will be walking on the street and all of the sudden three girls will run up and talk with us as we walk for miles. It's hilarious, I love it.  A couple weird things that happened this week: a couple of drunk people interrupted our lessons which is sweet. I tried deep fried cow stomach, which honestly tasted and felt like a deep fried booger (sorry that's the only way I know how to describe it). Women breastfeed in the middle of lessons so that's something. I waited for a bus for 3.5 hours because the bus system here is wack. I ate like a pumpkin porridge thing which was pretty good.
