Lieutenant Colonel Edgar Fabio...

This week was pretty chill, we didn't have much going on in the office, just some things here and there. Preparing for the conferences coming up, and taking care of some other stuff.

On sunday our friend Rosa came to church which was awesome, she said ¨I dont know why but everyone here seems to be so happy, look at their faces, they´re beaming¨ So we explained some more about the Spirit and how it makes you feel and also how she will be able to have this same spirit with her after she gets baptized. She still is kind of reluctant to get baptized but she said that she wants to go to church again this week. So after she feels the Spirit again I know that she's going to want to get baptized. Then Sunday we had our Staff meeting which always kinda blows my mind with how much President remembers all inside his brain, the man does not forget anything. But after that we had our plan set out for the week.

Tuesday we received a  missionary from Argentina that was on reassignment but now he's here in his original mission. So we went and picked him up from the airport and got him all ready to go to his new area. Then got him on the bus and shipped him off haha. That same night we had to go back to the terminal in order to pick up a different elder that needed to come to Asuncion in order to get his Visa ready to go to his original assignment as well. So we helped him get connected with all the right people at the embassy and finish up that process here soon he should be leaving for Puerto Rico.

Side note, have you ever seen Pirates of the Caribbean, you know the dude that has the fake eye that's always popping out. Yeah so I met him this week or at least someone very similar. We were contacting on the street and started talking to this guy and before we knew it we noticed that he only had one eye, and he showed us his hand with his fake eye in it. He said he tripped and his eye just popped on out. He was a super nice dude, we felt bad for him and did all we could to help him out. But he even joked that he is like the guy from Pirates so thats why im making the comparison.

This week we also met Lieutenant Colonel Edgar Fabio and honestly it was a super cool story of how we found him. We were out contacting and we came across a tennis court that was super nice. My comp really likes playing tennis but we were just gonna walk right on past without thinking about it. But then we were like ¨hey let's go see how much it costs for an hour¨
So we went in and there were these 3 young girls playing and their dad was sitting watching them play. We started talking to him and he is definitely one of the most quality people i've found in Paraguay. Here it's fairly common for the fathers to not care even a little bit about their families but this guy was different. He is moving mountains to support his daughters and help them with their future. He asked us about our families and also what we are doing here as missionaries, we explained the way that because we have the Gospel in our lives how blessed we are and how much it has strengthened our families. He was all over it and loved it, He said that he was a military man and that because of that it's hard for him to spend a lot of time with his family but every free second he has he is with his daughters. We have another day this week coming up where we're going to go meet with them again. I'm super excited because Lieutenant Colonel Edgar Fabio is a different breed and he wants to do anything to help his family. What better thing could he do that center their lives on the Gospel?

This week was a good one and we're just getting ready to have another good week coming up here soon. Love you guys.

Picking up a new missionary

We went to the Paraguayan version of Costco.  I haven't been in a store like this in a year and a half. It was crazy.  We even found dino chicken nuggets.
