Fell Off A Bus...

Sooooo this week was interesting to say the least. We had a bunch of cool encounters with people that we didn't know existed before.

To start off we were in a lesson one day and there was a little wind like just a tiny bit but enough to make an entire tree branch fall right where I was sitting and destroyed my chair. Good thing I got out of there quick enough. But it was pretty cool how we met the people at this house. We were in another lesson and the person told us to go look for someone down said road because wayyy back when they used to talk to missionaries. So we went looking and never actually found the person but we thought that we should contact a certain house so we did and we found a house full of inactive members. Who were super cool but had no clue that the church started having meetings again after the pandemic. And then in that house the tree branch tried to kill me.

After that we found out that this little girl named Luz was baptized a while ago but they never put her name in the system or anything like that and there was no picture to prove that she got baptized so we planned a baptism the following day and she got baptized again. It was super cool because she has actually been helping us a lot. She has invited all of her friends to come to church with her and talk to us and a couple of these little girls from her friend group decided to get baptized. So it was really sweet to see her in all white surrounded by all of her friends and inviting them to her baptism and to church as well.

This week we also had transfers but my comp and I stayed the same, however the Hermanas that we share our area with had some changes. There's a brand new Hermana who is from Colombia named Hermana Vega who just came in. She's super funny and for a brand new missionary she already understands so much, it's pretty impressive. So it'll be a good time to have her here in the area.

Also this week some random car stopped us on the side of the road and said, I'm not a member but I always give the new missionaries food. Take my number and call me when you want food. Kinda shook we took her number and she zoomed off. Well our lunch for Sunday canceled on us so we decided why not, we texted the number and she said we could come. So we went not really knowing what was going to happen, but when we got there it was one of the best lunches I've ever had. She brought out appetizers and then the main dish. I've never felt fancier on my mission. But it turns out that her daughter married some missionary that served here like 5 years ago and now they live in the states, and because of that she always wants to give the missionary food. So thank you to some random missionary 5 years ago for marrying this Paraguayan chick.

But to finally adress the title yeah I fell out of a bus. What happened was that we had to move a mattress from where we live to a city like an hour away and all of the members were working so we said why not let's just take the bus. So we jammed the mattress in the doorway and hopped on it was all smooth sailing until we got to where we had to get off. By this time we had the mattress deep in the back of the bus so as we got closer to where we had to get off we slowly pulled it forward and put it in the doorway so that when he stopped we could just get right off. He was turning to the left and was going to stop the bus right after he finished the turn so I was too focused on getting the mattress down that I took a step backwards 100% believing that there was another step behind me. But before I knew it I was rolling on the ground. We weren't going fast at all but I guess I made a really loud smacking sound according to my comp but I got back up and by that time the bus stopped and we got the mattress off without a problem.

To make it all better the 2 hermanas that are in this city happened to be going to a lunch with a member on this same street and saw me fall out of the bus. They were like "oh this poor business guy (because of the white shirt and tie) but soon  realized it was me and started laughing their heads off. Honestly grateful that it happened, adds another funny story to tell. And I didn't get hurt at all so mom and grandma don't worry I'm perfectly fine.

Love all you guys

The nice random lady who gave us lunch.

Luz's Baptism part 2

The new zone. Only two Hermanas were changed.

We found a massive piece of rebar.  We're going to have someone add some cement blocks to the end to make some weights for us. I'm down to 170lbs, I need to try and bulk up a little.

Woke up to our apartment shaking because of the music.

The bugs here are ridiculous
