Screw COVID...

Well, this week was interesting to say the least. Last Monday my companion told me he was feeling kinda sick, he had a headache, and a sore throat. There was also another companionship with similar symptoms. And my comp wanted us to get Covid tests. So we went and got some tests done. And the weirdest thing happened. My comp who was by this time very sick; sneezing, coughing, fever, body aches, everything you can think of, well his test came back negative. My test on the other hand came back positive even though I have absolutely zero symptoms. I feel great. I don't even have a runny nose but apparently I have COVID. And this other companionship also has COVID. 

So we spent the entire week quarantined, we couldn't leave the house, so we legit stayed inside for 7 days. Let's just say a lot of studying was done, card games were played, we did a lot of exercises running around in circles and made a lot of fruit smoothies. I have probably paced the entire house like a million times by now. But let me tell ya this whole quarantine thing, I never want to do that again. It killed me a little to not be outside talking to people but it's all good because soon enough I'll hit the streets. The saving grace though is that in the front patio of this house there is a mango tree so we had fresh mangos the whole week and let me tell ya I have learned how to make some mad smoothies. 

But, we also got transfers this week. I'm headed to a place called Ita. It's like an hour south of Asunción, and there's a whole bunch of cool stuff to do. Also, I guess that I share my new area with a companionship of sisters so that'll be cool. The first time in my whole mission working with sisters haha. But I'm excited. I've heard some cool stuff about where I'm going. My new comp, his name is Elder Vasquez, he's from Kentucky and seems like a super cool dude. Definitely gonna have some fun out there. 

But yeah that's basically all that happened this week

What’s up!! This week was amazing, we were able to get some real work done. We had a couple of lessons where we could bring some members along. We found some other inactive members who we are helping come back to church and along with that baptize their kids. I’m super thankful for the members here in the ward, they are awesome and always able to help us when we need it.     One day we met a lady and invited her to church, but she told us she didn't want to go because she didn’t have any friends in the church. So we told her that before Sunday came we would stop by her house with a member so that she could get to know her and then have a friend in church. And we knew just the lady to call … Rosa. How's it going everyone?? This week went by ridiculously fast so here's some stuff that happened. On Monday we were able to change our P-day to Monday because we had divisions with other elders on Saturday. But it was super fun we had P-day with the whole zone. We played Paddle for like 3 hours, went to eat lunch all together in a mall and then came back to the church were we played chair soccer for another 3 hours. It was sweet to be have P-day all together and hangout with a bunch of missionaries.  On Tuesday we went out and worked and found some cool people that said that they really wanted to go to church with us. So we sat down and taught some good lessons. We taught the restoration and why it's so important. I honestly really love teaching especially when the people are interested. Snakes, Dogs, and Red Dirt

How's it going everyone. Day one I was warned about the snakes, these snakes are much more dangerous than the snakes you are thinking about right now. These snakes are teenage girls that give you the "look" everywhere you go. It's super funny we will be walking on the street and all of the sudden three girls will run up and talk with us as we walk for miles. It's hilarious, I love it.  A couple weird things that happened this week: a couple of drunk people interrupted our lessons which is sweet. I tried deep fried cow stomach, which honestly tasted and felt like a deep fried booger (sorry that's the only way I know how to describe it). Women breastfeed in the middle of lessons so that's something. I waited for a bus for 3.5 hours because the bus system here is wack. I ate like a pumpkin porridge thing which was pretty good.
