Three Cow Heads...
This week was pretty sweet especially because it started off really good. On Monday night we had a lesson with our friend Mica who is really cool and said she would go to church here next week so that's super exciting.
After that on Tuesday I went out to a city called Coronel Oviedo to do divisions with the man himself Elder Dutson. He's a homie from my MTC group so it was sweet to hangout with him again. We were walking and talking a lot about music and low key walked the wrong way for like 20 minutes because we were just caught up in this conversation we were having. Then shortly after that it starting raining like crazy which was so sweet to be honest. Especially walking in rivers on the side of the highway because there is literally no where else to walk. But the coolest thing happened. As we were walking, completely drenched we decided we would stop at a couple houses in order to meet them. So we stopped at a members house and clapped real loud. We knew he was home because his TV was on and it was switching channels. And we were confident that no body could turn us away because we were standing in a down pour, they had to let us in... well nobody did but that's OK. Because as we were walking home there was a truck that was pulled over on the highway, we had no idea why it was pulled over but as we passed he asked us if we wanted a ride. We told him we were soaking wet and he said he didn't care so we hopped in. This dude was super cool, he was super curious about what the heck we were doing in the middle of a giant storm walking around. So we told him and he was super into it. He had never heard of the Book of Mormon (which is rare out here) and was super stoked to read it. So we gave him one and then he dropped us off. I'm not great at explaining what happened but it was super cool.
After that on Wednesday we were back in our area just chillin doing the normal stuff. We had to make a video for Facebook so we kinda focused on that. It was pretty cool we went around asking random people what they knew about missionaries and answered their questions. We met this family where the kid is a member but he lives in another city. But his mom isn't a member so we were teaching her and her old neighbors (as in she was very old). And we asked them to help us with the video and this lady said, "well you missionaries share the TRUE church of Jesus Christ"..... soooo that's cool.
After that on Thursday we just contacted like crazy people and got rejected a whole lot. We were talking to this 17 year old and her mom came out and started yelling at us so that was cool haha. It was awesome. I low key enjoy it when people yell at us because it's hilarious how upset they are over nothing. But after that we found like lady named Gladys who met with missionaries 30 years ago and was super receptive of everything. Kinda sweet.
On Friday we did what's called an attack on an area. Where a bunch of us missionaries go and work in 1 area for a day in order to kinda jump start the area. So I was on divisiones with my homie Elder Hoover, he's super cool and whenever we're together we have a great time. Constantly laughing and having a blast. Him and I walked wayyyy out there and contacted this area that hadn't seen missionaries in yearssss there was a couple people super excited to see missionaries again so that was sweet. But then we found a couple members who said "yep there's no way I'm going to go back to church" so that's fun.
Then one day we were trying to find these people again that we taught earlier in the week and we passed by their house but were told that they were at work down the street. So we walked down the street and turns out these guys work at a meat shop which is sweet. I never would've thought I would teach a lesson with 3 massive cow heads starring at me. I asked if I could snag a picture with one and she was like uhhhh I guess if you really want to. My comp did not want to touch it at all. But it just had to be done. It was actually a sweet lesson one of the cows is definitely going to church next week.
We also got notice from our mission President that we're gonna have zone conference this Tuesday, he told us this on Friday. So we had to start preparing a bunch of stuff and organizing everything. It'll be suoer cool I'm stoked for it. So we had to get enough mattresses for all the missionaries traveling into to CaaguazĂș to sleep. And there were 2 extra mattresses in a place called campo 9 about an hour away. So we bussed out there, and snagged these mattresses from the Elders' out there but then we had to find a way to get those suckers home. We called a bunch of taxies but nobody would do it. Until we found our Argentinian buddy who said yeah no sweat we'll throw those suckers on the roof and call it good. We loaded 2 mattresses on the roof, tied them down and were on our way. Mid way through the drive we find out this dude was Argentinian military and he pulls out his revolver from under his seat. Which is ridiculously illegal here in Paraguay to have. But he goes "I have to leave the house everyday with this, if I don't it feels like I leaving without my pants". So this guy was an absolute goat.
It was a great week love you all

The cow heads
The Paraguayan missionary thought this was hilarious for some reason
Moving the mattresses
Bought myself a new hoodie. Even though it's 95 degrees down here right now.

The rain was ridiculous
This member wouldn't answer us but his TV was on.
We either got hit by the cars going 50 MPH or walked in the water on the side of the road. Ridiculous.
