Last Transfer...
What´s up everybody? So this week was super busy and absolutely flew by. So here's a little of what happened.
On Sunday we had all of the missionaries that were ending their mission here in the office and got to spend time with them while President was doing their last interviews. After that we went together to the mission home where they all shared experiences from the mission and things that they have lived through and ways that they have grown. It was all really nice. That same night I was informed about about the transfers so I stayed up pretty late getting everything all organized for the next day when more than 30 missionaries would have to be traveling. Got that all in order and then headed off to bed.
The next morning I made sure that everything was in order and that I didn't mistake anyone, that those that needed to travel would be traveling today. Then we took the missionaries to the airport, helped them get on their flight and sent them on home. It was pretty sad to see them go, a couple of them were my really good friends from the mission, and the majority are going back to the states so I'll see them again, but some went to other countries down here in South America so it´ll be a little tricky to see them again. Then I got my new companion, I´m still with Elder Hall, but we´re adding a 3rd to us. His name is Elder Correa, he's from Phoenix Arizona and is a super cool guy, I'm super excited to have him here with us and to be able to teach him all this stuff. That same night at midnight we went with Elder Correa to the airport to get some of the new missionaries. Seven Americans got here so we helped them with their visas and everything and got them back to a place where they could spend the night.
We woke up Tuesday, which is actually transfer day, so we had even more people traveling today and while everything was crazy here in the office with more than 100 missionaries coming and leaving all at the same time. We had to go back to the airport to get the new latino missionaries. A group of 14. Definitely one of my favorite parts of everything is picking up new missionaries and getting to know them. So we brought them back to the office to hangout or sleep if they wanted. They basically just chilled the whole time because the following day was the new missionary training.
So after getting all of their trainers here we got everything in order on Wednesday we had the training for the new guys. Which was super cool because it was a really different group of missionaries. This time we got 15 new sister missionaries which is the biggest group of sisters that we´ve ever gotten. Basically every sister missionary in the mission is now training one of these new ones. So that was really cool. We sent them off to their areas after eating some pizza and officially we were done with transfers.
Thursday was a pretty normal day, just making sure that everything was how it should be, and that everybody got to their areas safe and sound. But now to the important stuff. We could finally leave to work today. I'll be honest, it's been a while since we´ve been able to get out on the streets, transfer weeks are always tough. But I love getting out there to work. Before the mission there were things that I would do in order to clear my mind from the stress of school and work and stuff like playing sports. But now that same thing happens when I leave to go work. It's like all of the stress from organizing everything just floats away when we're out there teaching the Gospel and I absolutely love it. It's a joy that is basically indescribable.
I love what i'm doing and love all of you
