Sugar Mama...
This week was awesome no doubt. It all started out with a sweet P day were we got the whole zone together to play some football and then some real football. (Soccer and then real football). And it was probably one of the most fun days I've had. We ate some good food but more importantly, hung out together and had a really fun time.
After that we traveled back with some Elders to their area, called Villarica. And we did divisions with them. Elder Jimenez and Elder Pixton. Jimenez is from Chile and Pixton is from Utah. There was also 2 other elders there with us who were gonna do a district council with them and divisions as well. An Elder from Utah and one from Paraguay. It was gonna be a pretty good time. Butttt we got word really late that we had to be in Asunción for a leadership conference and the bus that we had to get was getting there wayyyy earlier than expected. So we had like half day divisions with them and then went to the bus station to find a bus to where we needed to get on the other bus. We needed to go to a place called Oviedo in order to catch this other bus. So we get to the terminal in Villarica in order to get a bus to Oviedo buttt the next one left like 3 hours after we needed it. So we paid a taxi and were on our way. Stupid busses.
But we caught the bus and were on our way to Asunción. We got there, hung out with the other missionaries up there for the night, and then in the morning got up and played some ultimate football. (Couldn't find a frisbee) but it was still just as fun. And then we had a leadership council. It was pretty cool I always learn something new from President and being all together with a bunch of other missionaries is pretty sweet. But the best part is we went to the mission home and ate the best Chilean dish. My comp is Chilean and my mission President is from Chile and I'm always hearing about this thing called a "completo" and how ridiculously good it is. Little did I know it's just a hotdogs with a bunch of toppings. I mean I wasn't complaining, I love hotdogs but I was just laughing at the fact that this is the thing that all Chileans are going crazy for.
After that we came on home and we felt great. After these conferences I always feel super good to get to work. So that's what we did we worked and worked. And it's great because I always feel so good when I'm working. We also had a multi district council with the missionaries in Caaguazú in order to share what we learned from this leadership conference. And tomorrow we are going to have the same thing in Oviedo with the rest of the zone that live further away. But it was really cool our zone is super cool with a bunch if really cool guys. So it's always great to get together and especially when everyone is ready do missionary work.
During this week we found a bunch of new people to teach. One day we were walking around and we saw that there was this point on the map where some members lived. We had no idea who they were so we passed by. Turns out it was a family of recent converts but not all of them are members. Only some of them. And the ones that were members passed away recently. So we found some people who part of their family was members but they weren't. We were able to share with them the plan of Salvation and tell them that they will see their family again without a doubt. It's always something that makes me feel so great is being able to help these people realize that there is more after this life. And then when the spirit is there and confirms what we said it's so amazing.
These week we continued to teach our friend Mica. She's super cool. And really loves what we have to teach because "we came into her life at the exact moment that she needed us" and when she told us that it was really something special. But to address the title. Whenever we have lessons with her she insists on buying us something. Like dessert, ice cream, Acaí, but this last time she bought us waffles with Nutella on them and man were they good. Most people would say she's not interested in what we're sharing and more interested in just hanging out with missionaries. But I kid you not the spirit is always so strong and she always really loves what we have to share, she's also reading the Book of Mormon so it's pretty sweet.
I think that's basically what happened. I love you all and hope you have a great week.
