Bonfire...
This week was so sweet we did a lot of good stuff.
First this week we went back out to Coronel Oviedo this week to do divisions with the other Elders that live out there. Elder González and Elder Taylor.
I headed out with Elder González, and we went out to this small town even further away called San Jose. There we started working like dogs and I loved it. These tiny little towns in the middle of nowhere are my favorite places to go. Because a lot of the people haven't ever seen or talked to missionaries but in the city almost everyone has talk to or at least seen missionaries. So we're in this city going crazy we found 8 new people to teach and honestly it was such a good time. One of these people we taught was super amazing and was asking so many good questions which is always the best. But her 30 year old sister not so much haha. She told me that she would wait for me for 2 years and then we could get married. So if I come back married it just is what it is.
After that though we met up with some other Elders and ate some really good pizza and played some card games, such a great time. After that we went back home to Caaguazu and finished the service that we started last week. We finished taking down all the fence, and cut down more trees and piled them all together. Maria (the lady we were with) lit it all on fire. And this was one of the most massive fires that I have ever been a part of. I thought that literally the trees around us were going to start on fire and that we were going to burn down the whole forest. Well that was my Nevada brain thinking. I forgot that in this country everything is so dang wet and green. That we didn't have to worry about that. But we were having a blast serving this family. One of my favorite parts of the mission by far is doing service for people.
After that we taught this lesson with out friend named Angie, she is pretty strong in her other religion but also has a bunch of questions in general. We spent the time answering her questions with scriptures and personal stories and all these things. It was one of the most sincere lessons I've ever been apart of. And afterward she told us she wanted to go to church with us on Sunday in order to see what it was like. (More on this later).
This week we also had the multi zone conference in ciudad del Este with Elder Christensen (the area 70 over our area, South America, South) to get there we had to make sure all our zone was up from there areas and ready to hop on a bus to head out there. It was so sweet we had all 20 of us from our zone on this bus having a great time. It was actually awesome because there was still Elders that I haven't met in person from our zone that hopped on the bus. So I went around talking to everyone and I have no doubt we have the coolest zone In the mission.
We got to Ciudad del Este super late which was kinda sad because we wanted to go check out the city but we couldn't which was a bummer. But it was sweet the conference was awesome Elder Christensen is a cool dude. And during the conference we had a pretty strong storm come in that knocked out the power. I thought it was funny because to all the missionaries it was a very normal occurrence and it didn't phase us at all but Elder Christensen was like what the heck is going on, is this normal for all of this to happen?? We were all big chillin and luckily the Church had some emergency lights that came on and we continued the conference.
I was also so happy because I got to see Elder Dutson for the first time since coming here. He is from my MTC district and I haven't seen him since we first landed here. I love the guy so much so it was about time I got to see him.
After that we got back on our bus and headed home. It was one of the best bus rides. We played some poker, card games and everything. We basically owned the front portion of the bus and just had a party for the 4 hour ride home.
Sunday came around and so we went to pick up Angie in order to walk to church with her. We got to church and all was well. Then the meetings started and the talks were all very interesting, one lady basically fainted during her talk and the branch president had to catch her before she fell. Then after that it was time for classes and it was the week of relief society. All of the members in the branch were presuring her to go to relief society and she looked to us with kind of a panic/ overwhelmed look. So we went to relief society with her and tried to help her feel more comfortable. After the classes we went to a quiet corner and talked for like another hour just answering all of her questions. Which was really good because we could kinda set everything straight in her mind and answer any concerns she had. After that she told us that she really loved coming and it was an experience she would like to try again. So I call that a win.
All in all one amazing week that I won't forget. I love all of you so much also we can use messenger now to talk with homies so if you want to send me a little message and don't want to use email feel free.

More from the Zone Conference
As the new zone leaders we started a new daily challenge. We check in with each companionship and ask them to tell us one miracle that they saw today. We had these keychains made that say "Thank you for making our zone a zone of miracles"
